Autumn 2009: Writing Your Memoir:   If you’ve considered writing your memoir but didn’t know where or how to begin, this class will get you started. Unlike the autobiography (which covers an entire life), the memoir focuses on one aspect of your life: i.e., a relationship, childhood, high school, college years, a town or city in which you lived, etc. Or you may want to follow an important aspect of your life: music, painting, writing, etc., through the many influences of your life journey. Through guided writing sessions (and optional sharing), we’ll explore some of the varied approaches to this illuminating form. We’ll also look at some of the barriers: needing to wait for some people to cross over to the other side before we can freely write. There are alternatives I’ll share with you.
 
A continuation of the summer Memoir class is scheduled to appear again at Good Shepherd on the following days (not necessary to attend first class in order to appear in 2nd class -- which follows):
